Welcome to Art by Rosaida - an exploration of colour, shape and theme through the craft of screen printing.
With this technique, designs are transferred onto paper using a mesh screen, stencil, squeegee, and ink. As each colour needs to be transferred using a separate screen, it takes time, patience, and skill to build the layers into a finished artwork. For an in depth description of the screen printing process, please go to the Work method page.
The screen prints featured on this site are based on hand-drawn illustrations, and consist of anywhere between two and thirty layers. Regardless of how intricate the layering is, every design is made with attention and love.
Screen printing is a manual process, and as such there are small differences between each print. Each design usually comes in a limited edition of 10 to 40 signed and numbered prints. This means that, when purchasing Art by Rosaida, you are investing in a handprinted, unique Original Print.
